Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe Consortium Coordinator Jobs in South Sudan; Johanniter’s overall objective is to reduce vulnerability by improving health and nutrition status, and expanding access to WASH, food security, livelihoods, and protection services.
Current programmes run in Western Bahr el Ghazal and Eastern Equatoria, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, BMZ, UN agencies and private foundations.
Strategic goal: continue comprehensive programming through 2026/2027 and expand to new areas.
Position Summary
The Consortium Coordinator strategically coordinates and strengthens the collective delivery of the BMZ‑TDA funded resilience programme across Sudan, South Sudan and Ethiopia.
The role ensures coherence, complementarity, quality and accountability across partners and countries, aligning consortium members around shared priorities and facilitating cross‑border learning and decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Consortium Coordination
Act as primary liaison between consortium partners, donors and stakeholders.
Facilitate regular coordination meetings and timely information sharing.
Harmonize approaches, tools and standards across members.
Project Management
Ensure consortium activities meet contractual obligations.
Coordinate joint reporting and consolidate partner inputs.
Monitor implementation and flag risks or challenges.
Strategic
Planning
Contribute to consortium strategies and identify collaboration opportunities.
Support advocacy efforts and represent consortium nationally and internationally.
Capacity Building
Strengthen coordination mechanisms and build partner capacity.
Provide technical support on donor compliance and reporting.
Representation & Networking
Represent consortium in coordination, donor and technical forums.
Facilitate communication and equitable participation of partners.
Coordinate joint strategies, workplans, reports and advocacy products.
Maintain strategic relationships with government, UN agencies, civil society and donors.
Promote cross‑country learning and collaboration in support of HDP Nexus and resilience objectives.
Requirements
Advanced degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Public Policy or related field.
7+ years’ experience in consortium coordination, programme management or resilience programming.
Strong technical expertise in HDP Nexus and resilience approaches.
Proven influencing, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience working across multiple countries and complex humanitarian contexts.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
