Job DescriptionQualifications: Matric
Credit Management 1-3
Accounting qualification will be advantages
Experience:
5 years of Credit Management experience
Advanced Excel, Word and Outlook
Knowledge of an accounting package (preferably Kerridge)
Ability to reconcile and resolve queries
Willing to work overtime
Job Purpose:
To ensure that the company’s cash flow is maximised through debt collection and minimisation of risk areas.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Administration of the Client Database - keeping client data up to date and maintaining a record of individual debtor contact details and payment history.
Investigating and approving new clients through credit bureaus and other means available. Maintaining information on client credit worthiness, adjusting credit limits, and advising management and sales on high risk clients.
Maintaining a good relationship with clients, and ensuring all payments of outstanding monies are made on time, to ensure the collection period for debtors’ remains within target set from time to time.
Resolution of all client queries within required guidelines, to ensure that the receivables are accurate and that no reason can be given for non-payment by clients.
Please note the client is looking for a person doing credit control within a retail space and/or dealing with retail.
Accurately allocate all payments received from clients.
Reconcile all client accounts on a monthly basis.
