Jeremiah Nyagah National Polytechnic Internal Auditor Jobs in Kenya;The Internal Auditor will plan and execute audit assignments, review internal controls, and ensure compliance with financial, procurement, and operational systems. The role involves preparing audit reports, monitoring recommendations, conducting investigations, and liaising with external auditors and oversight bodies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute internal audit assignments in line with approved audit plans and professional standards.

  • Review and evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance systems.

  • Audit financial, procurement, stores, payroll, and operational systems for compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Prepare audit reports and recommend improvements.

  • Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and report on progress.

  • Conduct investigations into suspected fraud, irregularities, or misuse of public resources.

  • Liaise with external auditors, oversight bodies, and management on audit matters.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

    Entry Requirements for Appointment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized institution.

  • Professional qualification such as CPA(K), CIA, ACCA, or equivalent.

  • Registration with ICPAK in good standing.

  • Relevant experience in internal auditing, preferably in the public sector.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of public sector financial management, risk management, and audit standards.

  • High level of integrity and strong analytical skills.
