Jeremiah Nyagah National Polytechnic Driver Jobs in Kenya; The Driver will operate vehicles safely, transport passengers and goods, and ensure proper maintenance and compliance with traffic regulations. The role requires professionalism, attention to safety, and adherence to institutional policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicles safely and obey all traffic laws and regulations.

  • Transport passengers, goods, or materials to designated locations on time.

  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure good working condition.

  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance (fuel, oil, tire pressure, brakes, coolant).

  • Keep vehicles clean and presentable at all times.

  • Report mechanical problems or accidents promptly.

  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance.

  • Plan efficient routes to avoid delays.

  • Load and unload goods safely when required.

  • Ensure safety and security of passengers, cargo, and vehicle.

  • Follow company policies and comply with transportation regulations.

  • Assist passengers with boarding, luggage, or special needs.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding company or passenger information.

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, including accidents or breakdowns.

  • Renew and maintain valid driving licenses and certifications.

    Entry Requirements for Appointment

  • KCSE mean grade D (Plain) or equivalent from a recognized institution.

  • Valid driving license free from
    endorsements for classes B3, C1, D1, D2, D3.

  • Passed Occupational Trade Test Grade III (or higher) for drivers.

  • Defensive Driving Certificate from a recognized institution.

  • First Aid Certificate (minimum one week) from a recognized institution (advantage).

  • At least three (3) years’ driving experience with a clean record.

  • Experience driving in a public institution or corporate environment (advantage).

  • Mechanical and automotive knowledge (advantage).
