Job Summary;

The Manager Human Resource and Development will be a member of the management team and will be responsible for among others; job design, recruitment, managing employee relations, performance management, training & development as well as talent management.

Job roles & Responsibilities;

  • Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects suitable employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall JCRC Strategic plan.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Oversee and manage staff performance appraisals.
  • Assess and manage staff training needs.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Advise management on wages and salaries.
  • Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs.
  • Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required of employees by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
  • Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
  • Manage employee benefit schemes in compliance with employee labour laws.

    Qualifications and Skills
  • Masters & Bachelors in humanities such as Human Resource Management, Business Administration among others from a recognized institution.
  • A post graduate diploma in Human Resources Management from
    a reputable institution is a must.
  • Experience working as a Manager Human Resources & Development in a reputable organization.
  • Knowledge of ICT based HR systems and applications.
  • Experience working with donor funded organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • People oriented and results driven.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Membership of a professional Human Resource body will be an added advantage.
