Java House Quality Control Team Member Jobs in Kenya


Job Description

Strategy / Planning

  • Perform duties with minimal supervision and plan time effectively during shifts.

  • Review daily production schedule and coordinate with planner for positioning.

  • Ensure production aligns with QC, HACCP requirements and operating procedures.

  • Conduct visual inspections, audits and QC line checks.

    Implementation

  • Use tools (ingredient specs, recipes, product specs, GMP requirements, sampling program) to check process/product condition against standards.

  • Apply decision matrix to determine optimum action when out‑of‑tolerance results occur.

  • Participate in sensory panel for organoleptic analysis and corrective actions.

  • Follow predetermined process/product checks to ensure compliance.

  • Act independently from manufacturing team, ensuring consistency and integrity.

  • Record checks and measures via documentation or digital means.

  • Authorised to quarantine ingredients, products or processes when results exceed limits.

  • Continuously monitor product quality at raw material intake, packing, release and dispatch stages.

    Reporting and Evaluation

  • Complete checks and documentation against predetermined scope.

  • Refer to product/process name, work order number and pass/fail decision.

  • Escalate failed processes/products immediately to shift manager and quality supervisor, citing details and reasons.

    Qualifications

  • Food Science degree or Diploma from recognised institution.

    Experience

  • 2 years in QC role within FMCG environment.

  • Computer literate.

  • Qualification or experience in ISO 22000/HACCP.

  • Demonstrated behaviours: consultative, collaborative, analytical, proactive, change‑oriented, structured yet flexible.

  • Results‑driven, able to find solutions under adverse conditions.
