Java House Operations Team Member - Nyali Jobs in Kenya



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately.

  • Ensure food presentation, temperature, and quality meet restaurant standards.

  • Communicate with kitchen and service staff regarding order status and guest needs.

  • Maintain cleanliness of waiter stations and restaurant areas.

  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

  • Assist with restocking condiments.

  • Support opening and closing duties as assigned.

  • Maintain clean, tidy, and properly set tables; present menu options and lead suggestive selling.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during production.

  • Take orders and deliver them neatly and accurately; present bills and process payments.

  • Clean pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, guest/staff toilets, and kitchen equipment.

  • Ensure proper waste management including bins and grease traps.

  • Handle food preparation, presentation, storage, and production of quality meals.

  • Assist wait staff during busy shifts to reduce customer wait times.

  • Ensure meals are served hot and fresh.

  • Use detergents correctly and maintain hygiene standards.

    Qualifications

  • Good planner with ability to make quick decisions under pressure.

  • Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Flexible, team player, highly responsible, and reliable.

  • Customer‑oriented with excellent customer care techniques.

  • Ability to upsell and inform guests about new menu products.

  • Result‑oriented, self‑driven, articulate, and proactive.

  • In‑house training in service.

  • 6 months working experience as certified Java House staff.

  • KCSE certificate with mean grade of C plain.

  • Interest in the hospitality industry.
