Java House Junior Baker Jobs in Kenya



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand recipes and proportions used in baking.

  • Follow recipes precisely and identify issues quickly.

  • Measure ingredients correctly with minimal supervision.

  • Operate batter and dough mixers effectively.

  • Ensure baked products are sealed and packaged properly.

  • Store, label and pack ingredients correctly.

  • Apply basic baking methods: Creaming, Rub In, Hot Milk, Blind Bake, All‑in‑One.

  • Bake a variety of items including croissants, pies, bread, cakes, muffins and cookies.

  • Clean, assemble and disassemble machines such as food processors, scales, planetary mixers and stick blenders.

  • Mould and scoop bakery items such as bread and cookies.

  • Fold dough into different shapes and sizes with creativity.

  • Demonstrate consistency in product quality and speed.

  • Perform tasks in line with SOPs to minimize risk of harm or damage.

  • Report incidents or accidents to Team Leader.

  • Achieve annual Performance Development Plan objectives.

  • Pursue personal development through training programs.

  • Display positive attitude, teamwork and respect for colleagues.

  • Delivery to customers in full and on time.

  • Achieve satisfactory scores in customer quality assessments.

  • Minimize corrective actions or rejections.

  • Maintain low incident and accident rates.

  • Achieve PDP objectives.

  • Share suggestions and ideas.

  • Ensure 100% delivery of manufactured items.

  • Keep customer complaints within agreed targets.

    Job Specifications

    Qualifications
  • School Leaving Certificate.

  • Diploma in Food Science or Food Manufacturing (desirable).

    Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in food manufacturing.
