Jamii Telecommunications Splicing Technician Jobs in Kenya


Jamii Telecommunications Splicing Technician Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking an experienced Splicing Technician to perform fiber splicing, troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure, and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fiber splicing to construct proper splice cases, including grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and sealing

  • Troubleshoot and carry out routine maintenance on fiber networks

  • Rehabilitate the network including tensioning cables, replacing manhole covers, and cable recovery

  • Maintain accurate records of cable network infrastructure

  • Liaise with other technical departments to provide support and resolve network issues

  • Check and advise on environmental issues in assigned nodes

  • Maintain site safety by eliminating hazards or reporting them before commencing work

  • Conduct onsite surveys/scoping for cases requiring network changes and routing, and escalate to Regional Manager for PM orders

  • Perform any other duties assigned from time to time

    Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field

  • 4 years’ working experience in a network maintenance role (highly desirable)

  • Technical aptitude in electrical and telecommunication infrastructure

  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills
