Job Overview:

  • The Global Mobility Associate will work as a member of the Global Compensation and Benefits team and support the Global Mobility program. This position is integral in IRC’s international assignment and relocation management- assisting with all aspects of international assignments including on-boarding, on-going assignment management, and repatriation by working with international assignees and various departments in the IRC.

  • The Global Mobility Associate is a trusted counselor, guiding employees and partners on assignment benefits, move logistics, and organizational policies and processes. They will play a vital part in ensuring efficient stewardship of IRC’s Global Mobility program across the over 40 countries where IRC operates.

    Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees on international assignment and global HR, advising on Global Mobility benefits and processes

  • Give guidance on Global Mobility policies, relocation logistics, and related HR processes and guidelines

  • Prepare assignment letters and assignment cost estimates

  • Conduct assignment briefings during the employee onboarding process

  • Collect, maintain, and report on international assignment data

  • Initiate Global Mobility services through vendors (relocation management company, tax provider, data provider) and partner with vendors on case management as needed

  • Assist with international assignment expense management, including processing vendor invoices

  • Keep information on company information systems up-to-date (intranet, shared drives)

  • Contribute to HRIS (Workday) projects and perform timely audits of employee data to ensure accuracy

  • Assist with preparation and implementation of strategic projects that move forward Global Mobility’s long term goals and objectives

  • Support learning for Country HR teams and the Global recruitment team

  • Proactively
    identifies issues and make recommendations to improve Global Mobility processes and workflow to increase department’s efficiency and effectiveness

  • Provide support to the Global Compensation and Benefits team as needed

  • Perform other related duties, as assigned

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required - preferred in Human Resources, International Relations, International Business

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Global Mobility required

  • Additional experience in compensation or benefits preferred

  • Global Mobility Specialist and/or Certified Relocation Professional certificate preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills - customer service focus a must.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable dealing with diverse employees and management at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytic problem-solving skills, as well as data analysis and presentation skills.

  • Intermediate Excel skills.

  • Experience with managing multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.

  • Fluency in French, Spanish or Arabic a plus.
