INTERSOS Clinical Supervisor Jobs in Kenya; Under the supervision of the Medical Activity Manager (MAM), the Clinical Supervisor provides professional technical advice on project design, planning, administration, monitoring and evaluation of Nutrition and Health programme activities. The role ensures delivery of quality medical care, improved health conditions for target populations, and capacity building of staff.

Responsibilities

Clinic

  • Apply medical knowledge to diagnose and prevent illness.

  • Conduct outpatient/inpatient consultations and prescribe treatments per protocols.

  • Ensure medical protocols and universal precautions are followed.

  • Arrange referrals for patients needing advanced care.

    Management
  • Conduct health and nutritional surveillance in program sites.

  • Work with health staff and volunteers to implement community‑based management of acute malnutrition.

  • Assist in health/nutrition emergencies and disaster preparedness.

  • Oversee growth monitoring programs and mass MUAC screenings.

  • Participate in rapid health and nutrition assessments.

  • Monitor and supervise INTERSOS staff performance.

  • Provide continuous training programs for staff.

  • Review personnel issues and assist with solutions.

  • Participate in recruitment of health and nutrition staff.

  • Supervise use of materials, equipment, and supplies.

  • Identify opportunities for program development.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

    Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MB.BS/MBChB).

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in humanitarian context.

  • Valid and current practicing license.

  • Excellent report‑writing skills.

  • Fluent in English and Hausa; Kanuri is a plus.

  • Commitment to INTERSOS values and principles.

  • Professional conduct and
    adherence to INTERSOS policies.

  • Ability to undertake and apply learning from training programs.

  • Care and accountability for equipment issued.
