Scope of Responsibilities

The HR Officer is responsible for providing key support in all HR administration functions and assisting in the administration of the Human Resources activities.

Reports to:

  • Hr Coordinator

    Performance Responsibilities

    To provide support in the management of staff

  • Prepare support documents for staff including bank letters, introduction letters etc.
  • Provide support in ensuring that all staff are registered for National Social Security Fund and Tax

    Identification Numbers

  • Absence tracking for support staff in correspondence with Maintenance Coordinator and Operations Manager

    To provide support in with administering the HRIS and staff record management

  • Supports the HR Coordinator in maintain an up to date database.
  • Maintenance of accurate and up to date personnel records of all employees including orderly archiving of former staff

    To provide support with the recruitment of non-teaching staff

  • Support in recruitment activities for the national employees (job adverts, interviews, recruitment, contracts, and personnel files)

    To provide support in managing the local staff medical insurance

  • Follow up on all medical insurance matters for staff including enrolment follow up, card delivery, card replacement.
  • Maintenance of accurate and up to date personnel records of all employees on the scheme

    To provide support in the immigration procedures for staff, visa and permit processing.

  • Ensure that all staff have the proper work documentation and keep track of expiry dates to ensure
    prompt and timely renewal of documents.
  • Coordinating immigration and Interpol visits for staff with the Operations Manager

    To provide support in house management for Overseas Hire

    Staff
  • Assisting the HR Coordinator with the “summer programme” for OH staff

    To provide support to the HR Coordinator for international staff joining or leaving ISU

  • Ensuring all staff are given the right documentation for their on boarding and exiting procedures
  • Ensure that transport is booked for leaving staff

    Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management / Administration

    Job related experience and knowledge:
  • Previous experience in Human Resources Administration with experience in a multi-cultural organization

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
