International Rescue Committee Technology & AI Adoption Specialist – Operations Jobs in Kenya ;The Technology & AI Adoption Specialist – Operations will drive the uptake of AI across IRC’s global operations by working directly with teams to identify, test, and scale high‑value use cases. The role ensures AI tools translate into real improvements in how IRC works, acting as the bridge between operational teams and technical developers.

Major Responsibilities

AI Demand Pipeline & Performance Management

  • Establish and manage structured pipeline of AI opportunities.

  • Maintain shared intake and prioritization process with technical teams.

  • Track use cases from intake through pilot, iteration, and scale.

  • Coordinate cross‑functional alignment on deployment and support.

  • Monitor outcomes against success criteria and report progress.

    AI Use Case Development & Deployment
  • Identify and prioritize high‑impact AI use cases.

  • Work with teams to diagnose workflows and define problem statements.

  • Translate needs into developer‑ready artifacts (user stories, workflows).

  • Co‑design, test, and iterate solutions with end users.

  • Support deployment into live workflows and document successful use cases.

    Adoption & Capacity Building
  • Lead AI adoption within targeted teams.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for end‑users post‑deployment.

  • Address barriers to adoption and design practical strategies.

  • Deliver role‑specific learning resources and communications.

  • Create FAQs, success stories, and adoption materials.

    Key Working Relationships
  • Reports to: AI Governance & Transformation Lead / VP Business Operations & Analytics, and Program Technology Innovations Lead.

  • Works with: AI/Tech development
    teams, IT, Data, Product Owners, regional/country teams, Learning & Development, Staff & Culture AI Task Force, Communications.

    Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years in change management, digital transformation, or related roles.

  • Strong familiarity with AI tools and applications.

  • Experience driving adoption of technology in complex organizations.

  • Strong problem‑solving and workflow redesign skills.

  • Experience designing and delivering training initiatives.

  • Strong data orientation and ability to track impact.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build networks.

  • Experience in international development, humanitarian, or nonprofit contexts preferred.

  • Ability to operate in low‑resource, high‑complexity environments.

  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in French, Spanish, or Arabic preferred.
