International Rescue Committee Senior Manager Global Procurement-Corporate and Professional Services Jobs in KenyaInternational Rescue Committee Senior Manager Global Procurement-Corporate and Professional Services Jobs in Kenya;The Senior Manager, Global Procurement (GP) – Corporate and Professional Services provides strategic leadership across Travel, Translation, Insurance, Cash, Financial and HR Services.

The role establishes disciplined, forward‑looking category management: translating business demand into sourcing strategies, shaping competitive markets, negotiating high‑value agreements and building supplier ecosystems that improve value, service quality, risk management and staff experience.

Key Accountabilities

Category Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Own and execute multi‑year category strategies.

  • Convert spend, demand, market and risk insights into clear plans.

  • Create sourcing guides with market intelligence and negotiation levers.

  • Align sourcing activity with contract expiries and operational priorities.

  • Deliver measurable value through cost optimization and service improvement.

    Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Delivery

  • Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy to implementation.

  • Design negotiation strategies that strengthen competition and improve terms.

  • Establish transparent evaluation governance and audit trails.

  • Advise on specifications, service levels and contract models.

  • Resolve supplier and contractual issues with Legal, Finance and HR.

    Supplier Strategy & Performance

  • Develop resilient supplier pools through framework agreements.

  • Segment suppliers by value, risk and criticality.

  • Lead structured business reviews and drive continuous improvement.

  • Document single‑source recommendations with full compliance.

    Stakeholder Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Act as principal GP partner to People & Culture, Safety & Security and Finance.

  • Influence senior stakeholders with evidence‑based recommendations.

  • Translate priorities into executable procurement plans.

  • Partner on travel duty of care and risk‑management requirements.

  • Build procurement capability among stakeholders.

    Governance, Risk
    & Performance

  • Ensure compliance with IRC policies, donor requirements and audit standards.

  • Embed privacy, security and ethical requirements into sourcing.

  • Maintain accurate spend, contract and supplier‑performance data.

  • Keep sourcing decisions and records audit‑ready.

  • Contribute expertise to procurement transformation initiatives.

    Person Specification

    Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.

  • CIPS Level 4 or higher.

  • 7+ years’ procurement experience with category management ownership.

  • Success in competitive sourcing, negotiations and contract awards.

  • Strong commercial judgment and stakeholder influence skills.

  • Analytical capability in spend analysis and performance reporting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Desirable

  • Master’s degree in relevant field.

  • Direct category experience in travel, insurance, HR/BPO or language services.

  • NGO procurement experience with donor compliance frameworks.

  • Working knowledge of Spanish or Arabic.
