International Rescue Committee Clinical Officer Jobs in Kenya


Responsibilities

Program management
  • Overall in charge of the of the health post unit
  • Supervision of health post staff
  • Keep complete and accurate inventory of medicines and supplies located at the health post and monitor/supervise their usage
  • Assess health post needs regularly, and make trimester orders

    Human Resource
  • Set Performance Objectives for personnel reporting to him/ her and monitor their performance
  • Attend the monthly clinical services staff meeting and share updates
  • Plan and manage staff leave and R&R plans ensuring adequate coverage
  • Make JD for the incentive staffs under your supervision
  • Hold monthly meetings with the staffs of under your unit

    Program activities
  • Clinical assessment and prescription of treatment for all patients
  • Refer chronic cases to the various special clinics
  • Properly cover weekends, arrange a rotation schedule with fellow clinical officers
  • Conducts ward rounds in absence of the Medical Officer
  • Properly documented treatment on patients files

    Qualifications

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
    Registered with clinical officers council
  • Minimum 2 years working experience working in health set up
  • Good clinical skills - history taking, physical examination, ordering appropriate laboratory investigations and make appropriate diagnosis.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work and deliver results with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
  • Experience of working in hardship area.

  • Strong background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Administration.
  • Experience in IT is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing Security in a hostile environment.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, interpersonal and negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to develop harmonious teams in cross cultural context.
  • Strong diplomatic skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Supply Chain Planning
  • The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for implementing supply chain activities and plans to support program implementation. Supply chain planning includes; procurement plans, warehousing plans, transport plans, staffing plans, distribution plans and training plans.

    Procurement
  • The Supply Chain manager implements country procurement strategies, policies and procedures, the supply Chain manager will ensures all country program procurement needs are met on time in accordance with GSC standards.

    [Inventory Managemen
  • The Supply Chain Manager is accountable for managing and controlling all inventory and warehouses operation in the head office and ensure that there excellent records keeping, Impalement inventory standard operating procedures and control as provided by GSC.

    Assets Management
  • The Supply Chain Manager is accountable for maintenance, safe keeping and record or head office assets and equipment. The Supply Chain manager is responsible for all aspects of the administrative and operations of asset management in accordance with IRC and donors rules and regulations.

    Vehicles Management
  • The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing head office fleet and transportation activities, ensure that all IRC fleet operations are conducted with adherence to IRC vehicles policies and procedures including
    vehicles procurement, vehicles movement, maintenance and reporting accuracy.

    Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years of progressive Supply Chain professional experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success as a Supply Chain professional across all disciplines within supply chain including planning, procurement and logistics
  • Knowledge and experience in Supply Chain strategies, market analysis techniques, procurement and contracting, vehicle and fleet management, inventory, property and asset management
  • Strong collaborator and influencer with effective interpersonal and analytical skills who is able to work seamlessly across countries, cultures, and organizational units
  • Able to work effectively in a highly matrixed structure

    International Rescue Committee Temporary Finance Officer Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Monthly cash and bank disbursement journals by 25th of every month except in September, which should be closed on 30thas it is a fiscal year closing month for IRC.
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation statements by the close of 25th for all months except for September which closes by 30th.
  • Review of all cash advances liquidations to ensure correct coding and adequate supporting documentations are attached.
  • Ensure all program advances are accounted for as per advance policy.
  • Ensure that all payment request and disbursements submitted to Finance are paid before the end of the month to ensure they are recorded within the same month they are presented for payment
  • Ensure that the financial reports are submitted to Nairobi finance department on the 1st of every Month except September.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or CPA II.
  • Computer literate with significant experience in excel, accounting packages & SUN system will be an added advantage.
  • The candidate should be mature, with stable personality and ability to maintain confidentiality.

    Responsibilities

  • Supporting local GBV expertise and emergency response to GBV
  • Accountability to women and girls in humanitarian response
  • VPRU emergency preparedness and response priorities
  • Compliance and grant management

    Qualifications

  • University degree and technical accreditation or equivalent
  • At least 3-6 years of experience developing and managing GBV programming in humanitarian contexts
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with agencies, local governments and community leaders and develop multi-stakeholder support for humanitarian priorities and advocacy initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to identify creative and appropriate solutions for the populations affected by crisis, considering factors including the context and an individual client's developmental stage, gender and status
  • Experience managing large, complex donor funded programs and grants, including staff management, budget oversight, monitoring and evaluation systems, and technical input to proposal-budget development and donor reports
  • Experience working directly or in partnership with other VPRU technical fields – Child
  • Protection and Protection/Rule of Law – is not required but is an advantage
