International Organization for Migration Consultant - Multimedia & Information Management Officer Opportunities in South Sudan


Responsibilities

  • In close coordination with the Programme Support Unit (PSU) and Programme Coordinators, develop information products for donors and publications.
  • Assist in the editing and production of IOM internal and external reports and materials promoting IOM South Sudan programmes and operations.
  • Develop and improve existing external communication products, mission level and operational highlights (by thematic area) documents and assist in the visualization of thematic and programmatic briefs, in coordination with Programme Managers.
  • Deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic and web-based media.
  • Copy-edit reports, content and info graphics in co-ordination with Programme Managers and PSU.
  • Produce multimedia content in various formats, including, but not limited to: videos, online photo galleries, infographics, slide shows and PowerPoints. Develop or support websites including producing content.
  • Develop key infographics on progress of the IOM South Sudan programmes and operations
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

    Qualifications and Experience:

  • Advanced university degree in social sciences, management, project management, information technology, communication, journalism, public relations, or other related discipline or equivalent working experience in progressively responsible professional work in communication/information fields; or
  • University degree in the above fields with five years of relevant professional experience.
    Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite package especially In-design, Photo Shop, Illustrator, Adobe Page Maker and CorelDraw;
  • Advanced knowledge of basic computing, particularly the
    Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), and familiarity with Microsoft Publisher;
  • Experience in information management, preferably in complex crisis situations;
  • Experience in relevant issues such as migration, displacement, and humanitarian assistance would be an asset.
