Background

Under the direct supervision of the Emergency & Post-Crisis (EPC) National Program Support Officer, and the overall supervision of the EPC Program Support Officer, the successful candidate will support the management and upload of IOM project data into corporate and donor information systems. In particular, he/she will:

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Upload project data into IOM corporate information systems in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Support the National Program Support officer with verification and uploading of data into donor information systems.
  • Support the EPC Unit program managers, information managers, and program support staff with processing of project information.
  • Systematically verify the quality of data uploaded in coordination with program support officers and project managers and correct as needed.
  • Liaise closely with project staff from EPC program teams and program support staff through the country office.
  • Support the National MEAL Officer with monitoring of data as needed.
  • Respect IOM’s Data Protection Principles.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the manager.

    Job Requirements

    Education

  • University degree in data/information systems, project management, statistics, evaluation, analysis, or other relevant field is required.

    Experience

  • A minimum of two years of work experience
    Experience working with data management systems, surveys, or evaluations.
  • Ability to type at 40 words per minute
    Technical skills in qualitative and quantitative data management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively and persuasively present information in a variety of settings and formats.
  • Knowledge of project management and activity monitoring and reporting.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively across several on-going activities in order to meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in organizing work to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with proven experience in Word, Excel and Power point.
  • Experience working in liaison with GoE and international organizations.

    Language

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Working knowledge of other local
    languages is an advantage.
