International Organization for Migration Consultant - Strengthening NEA Distress Reporting Mechanisms BRMM Project Jobs in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Develop SOPs and response channels for feedback mechanisms.

  • Organize workshop to refine distress and hotline forms to capture case type, location, urgency and referral needs.

  • Develop SOPs on feedback and case closure mechanisms.

  • Build capacity for hotline and case management staff.

  • Establish coordination channels between hotline managers and referral partners.

  • Train officers at KLMRC, TVETs and other institutions on labour migration policies, ethical recruitment and rights‑based counselling.

  • Develop and disseminate IEC materials.

    Performance Indicators

  • Inception Report with consultancy approach and work plan within 2 weeks.

  • Review of existing hotline and distress mechanisms with recommendations.

  • Comprehensive Mapping Report of referral pathways, actors and service gaps.

  • Developed SOPs for case intake, triage, referral, feedback and closure.

  • Facilitation of multi‑stakeholder workshop to refine forms.

  • Capacity building for hotline operators and case management staff.

  • Protocols for information‑sharing and timely response management.

  • Final Consultancy Report summarizing findings, recommendations and implementation roadmap.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education

  • Advanced degree in migration, development, social sciences or related field.

  • Proven experience in migration programming, hotline systems or case
    management/referral mechanisms.

  • Expertise in SOP development and capacity building.

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, data protection and ethical service delivery.

  • Experience in Kenya or East/Horn of Africa highly desirable.

  • Fluency in English and Swahili.

    Experience & Skills

  • Strong management capability and experience.

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain relations with government, international organizations and private sector.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong report writing and computer skills.
