Job Purpose

  • To monitor and evaluate performance of Hospitals/Clinics in service delivery
    Propose innovative and cost-effective mechanisms of service delivery in line with hospital relations management.

  • Design and implement integral strategies to effectively address hospital and clients concerns.

  • Effectively manage the hospital list
    Support strategies to identify and prevent possible fraudulent cases from clients and hospitals.

  • Develop regular comprehensive reports as may be required by Management, the General Manager and or the Managing Director.

    Job Description

  • Manage the Hospital list by exploring the most cost effective ways of maintaining hospitals, expanding or reducing the list when necessary, manage pricelists with support from medical doctors among other options.

  • Hospital Stakeholder Relations Management including but not limited to regular scheduled and intermittent Hospital visits/ spot checks, initiating meetings for negotiations among other effective stakeholder management interventions.

  • Conduct planned claims audit by detecting and managing hospital and client’s fraud related cases in the Health insurance sector with support from the Finance and Medical team members at IML.

  • Spearhead efforts to ensure timely hospital payments as well as financial and medical reconciliations are effectively made for each hospital with support from Finance and Medical Services team members.

    Requirements

    Academic Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and a Postgraduate or Masters degree in Management or in any related field to the key roles of this job specified above are a MUST.

  • Candidates who apply without showing they have this requirement will not be shortlisted.

    Relevant Work Experience

  • Relevant work experience in hospital and or similar stakeholder Relations Management role is primary.

  • Experience of having served in a managerial position for at least two years is a key requirement.

  • Previous experience(s) of having worked in public relations, professional marketing, PR and Communications are strong added advantages to qualify for this position.

    Special Skills and Personal Traits Required:

  • The candidates must demonstrate competence and capability to be innovative, self-directed, and agile in their work.

  • Evident analytical, writing, presentation skills using fluency in English.

  • Practical computer skills in Microsoft office suites are a must.

  • Ability to work in a busy and demanding work under pressure

  • Ability to work both independently and as an admirable team player.

    Specific Limitations:

  • Age Limit: must be between 25-40 years
