  • Um is seeking passionate individuals to serve in an upcoming two years Commercial Exploitation of Children CSEC Project at the Coast Respond.

    Community Engagement Coordinator

  • The Community Engagement Coordinator will be the focal point in grassroots mobilizing aimed at creating awareness and changing community perspective towards CSEC The Individual will support all the interventions of the CSEC program while collaboratively working with child protection partners and stakeholders to ensure the tad communities and duty Learners on the illegal of CSEC,

  • He/she will also work with partners in the establishment and strengthening of community justice center as got hubs for organizing and initiatives to drive change within the justice system.

  • The individual will provide leadership in doping a coalition of partners to design, plan and implement joint advocacy Initiative

  • He/she will work to ensure that communities and the relevant authorities have a positive engagement space that will allow for trust development and increased reporting of CSEC cases.

    Critical Competencies and Qualities

    • Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles Creed:

    • Strong community mobilization skills, strong networks with proven track of engaging diverse constancies of stakeholders

    • Ability to present complex data and information in a clear and compelling manner to a wide range of stakeholders:

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills both in English and Kiswahili;

    • High level low proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management Software and family with statistical software packages

    • Sustained positive attitude and calm under stress

    • Exceptionally high levels of honesty and integrity

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Social Work Community Development or any of social sciences

    • At least two years' relevant experience in community mobilization, government relations, or grassroots organizing.

    • Proven track record of successfully networking with variant officials with community organizations.

    • Prior parlance in community engagement, including the development and management of a community mobilization strategy plan and coalition building:

    • Proficient group facilitation with demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with partners, stall and colleagues with a high level of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
