Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda Legal Clerk Jobs in Uganda

Purpose

To perform routine duties involved in litigation and other legal processes and prepare a variety
of forms and documents as may be instructed from time to time.

Duties and Responsibilities

Pick, serve and file all legal documents.

Assist in monitoring enactments of laws and regulations.

Prepare affidavit of service, briefs and reviews for use by the Authority,

Review briefs submitted to the legal department.

Receives sind registers caveats and other documents for any land transaction, registration
and maintains all pertinent records for Real Estate.

Conduct legal research for the legal department and write opinions based on research,

Follow Lip Court process in the Insurance Appeals Tribunal and other Courts of Law, and
communicates with Counsel regarding case management and procedural requirements.

Assist with the maintenance of legal documents, research laws, Court decisions, documents or other information related to cases before Court,

Review pending litigation and maintain a diary for the Legal Department.

Carry out any other duty as shall be assigned from time to time.

Key Performance Indicators

Compliance of the Authority to the Court and other deadlines.

Prompt registration of caveats and other land transactions.

Timely legal memoranda.

Person Specifications

Qualifications

At least a Diploma in law.
