Our client is a well established Insurance Company in the Kenyan market. They wish to recruit a Business Development Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee all new sales activities except activities related to the branches

These include vetting and on-boarding of intermediaries and ensure they book satisfactory premiums.

Cross selling of products to existing clients to boost organic growth

Laying sales strategies for expansion of existing markets and penetration of new market frontiers.

Come up with initiatives that will grow and sustain market share and the quality of the business accepted.

Oversee the renewal cluster of business development function.

Ensure that clients and intermediaries receive renewal notices on time.

Hold renewal meetings and ensure the target for renewable business is met.

Prepare and make presentations to intermediaries and other interest groups.

Prepare management reports

Any other activity that will develop business under the function.

Person Specification

Must have a pleasant personality, well known by the intermediaries and ability to deliver results and meet set targets.

Should have the ability to lead the team and direct them towards achieving objectives set for the function.

Qualifications

A graduate from a recognized university
