Sheer Logic Management Consultants is seeking to engage dynamic individuals for an Insurance Claims Adjuster position for one of our clients.

Purpose Of The Role

The primary purpose of the job is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle high frequency, low complexity claims by collecting and analyzing data according to policy application and/or contract provisions. Determine whether to accept or deny a claim based on all documentation received.

Responsibilities

Claims Administration

  • Register the Claim according to procedure
    Set appropriate reserves in line with policy
  • Determine if the loss is covered in terms of the policy
  • Assess the Claim based on accurate interpretation of policy wording in place: refer Claims outside Claims mandate
  • Appoint / recommend appointment of loss adjusters and/or relevant experts: provide appropriate instructions
  • Detect fraud and report any suspicious claims to the Head of Claims
  • Follow Claims settlement process to ensure timely settlement of Claims and fees
  • Conduct timely, professional follow-up correspondence with Clients and Brokers
  • Attend to Third Party Liabilities
  • Any other assignments as may be given from time to time

    Customer Service

  • Establish and maintain excellent levels of customer service, with particular attention to:
  • Responsiveness – speed of service delivery
  • Quality of service rendered
  • Adherence to internal and external SLA’s

    Audit and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence with and
    implementation of all claims compliance controls as may be specified from time to time by the Claims Manager

    Qualifications
  • University Graduate,
  • ACII or Diploma in Insurance
  • Good technical knowledge of consumer insurance
  • Over 2 years’ working experience in an insurance company
  • Over 1 years’ working experience in a claims environment
