Duma Works is recruiting a Marketing Executive for The Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya.

IQSK is a professional membership association bringing together all Quantity Surveyors in Kenya.

The Institute is the foremost body in matters dealing with Quantity Surveying in this country and now boasts of a membership of over one thousand (1000) members.

Duties and Responsibilities

The main duty is sourcing for advertisements and placement in the Institute’s official journal, The Quantity Surveyor. This will include liaising with the Editor, writing and proofreading advertisements, liaising with designers and printers.

Sourcing and securing sponsorship for the Institute’s activities such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions.

Managing of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e newsletters and DVDs.

Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies and identifying marketing opportunities.

Organizing and overseeing the Institute’s events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions.

Qualifications

A minimum academic

qualification of a

Degree in Marketing or a related field.

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.

An understanding of the construction industry is preferred.

Be energetic, result-oriented and well spoken.

Be IT savvy.

Female candidates preferred.

Experience managing social media pages.

Experience with quantity surveyors’ professional bodies is a plus.
