Insight Axis Africa IT Expert Jobs in Kenya; Architect, build, and maintain the technology backbone of research operations — from digital data collection platforms to analytics infrastructure and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy mobile data collection solutions (ODK, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO, CommCare).

  • Manage cloud infrastructure (databases, dashboards, file storage, automations).

  • Build and maintain internal web tools, APIs, and analytics dashboards.

  • Enforce cybersecurity, data protection, and backup policies.

  • Provide L2/L3 IT support across the organisation.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.

  • 4+ years’ experience including cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and database administration.

  • Strong skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL.

  • Experience with BI/visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Metabase).

  • Familiarity with statistical/data analysis tools (R, Stata, SPSS) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of GDPR and Kenya Data Protection Act.
