  • MoTIV is East Africa’s largest makerspace, we operate as a community-led factory and training facility.

  • We want to help both the cottage and localised industries of Uganda grow, by supporting them as an industry incubation service, offering training, product development & complimentary production capacity.

  • MoTIV Academy is the link between the growing Kampala production facility and any individual in the MoTIV Tribe interested in growing their production skills.

    Your Role

  • Administration and mobilization of MoTIV Academy attendees. The role is accountable for the profiles of each student passing through MoTIV Academy.

  • The successful candidate will need to design and maintain an initial system for maintaining Academy profiles, MoTIV offers a wide spectrum of training courses and the system must support student movements across all departments.

  • Within 2021 MoTIV Academy will enroll 5000 positions made available through multiple
    courses. As a Training Coordinator the successful applicant will work closely within the Training department to ensure these courses are completed timely and to their best capacity.

  • MoTIV is licensing an online Learning Management System (LMS), this will be used as a library for Academy lessons and content. The role of Training Coordinator will also include the review and development of content used on this system.

    Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate is flexible
    and adaptive towards whatever is required of them at MoTIV. Upon entry, they will be the member responsible for upholding the linkages between the MoTIV Academy and the attendees who pass through the facility.

    Required Skill Set

    • Human Resources and People Management – proven Human Resource management/ direction and experience cooperating in a team of 25+ people

    • Experience coordinating multiple training events

    • Computer literacy – high proficiency using Google Suite and Microsoft Office

    • Preferably experienced operating a School Information Management System (SIMS) software

    • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

    • Project Management – experience of implementing and refining multiple strategic project or pilot programmes; strong planning and programme management skills

    • Monitoring and evaluation of Academy users
