The Role:

Reporting to the Programs Manager, the  goal of the Programs Associate is:

● To support in the initial onboarding process so that partners are followed closely, ensuring all requirements are met in a timely manner

● To support in effective program implementation management by providing oversight to
work plan development and tracking for results

● To provide one-on-one guidance to implementation teams as the initial point of contact
during implementation and reporting, as needed

● To compile reports from implementing partners and submit clear, conclusive draft reports to the Program Manager

● To provide feedback and ongoing support to implementation teams to ensure partner
growth and improvement over time

● To ensure that program risks and program feedback are received and actioned so as to
avoid unnecessary delays or risks to the program, overall

Key Outputs/Responsibilities:

Operations planning and implementation:

  • Participate in the development of proposals for resource mobilization, as needed.

    Program monitoring and reporting:

  • Facilitate effective monitoring of implementation plans to ensure that evaluation,
    documentation, and reporting are in line with agreed output targets

  • Receive regular reports from implementing initiatives and compile drafts of weekly,
    monthly and quarterly reports of project and program project activities to the Program Manager as per agreed schedule.

  • Ensure appropriate tracking of documents (i.e.: work plans, budgets, FDAs, etc.)

    Partnerships and collaborations:

  • Support the partner onboarding process and facilitate ongoing communications with
    implementing partners, serving as the first point of contact

  • Support partners with the development of work plans, project/program designs,annual
    plans, and budget drafts ensuring alignment with the outputs and targets agreed in their FDA

  • Populate Partner Report Cards as a means of evaluation and primary communication to the partners; these must include evaluation of outputs, reports,
    etc.

  • Support partners in their growth and development process

  • Monitor partner budget expenditures

    Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in partnership engagement or project management of
    projects in an international NGO or similar organization

  • Proven analytical and strategic planning skills

  • Demonstrable experience in using data to make informed decisions

  • Excellent time management capacities

  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, independently, and with limited supervision

  • Creative problem-solving skills with ability to follow up on any issue to its conclusion

  • Willingness to learn new skills and methodologies
