Innovation Village Community Associate Jobs in Uganda

About the Role

The Community Associate will be primarily responsible for managing community memberships for the Innovation Village.

You’ll be tasked with continually meeting our member’s needs, understanding your local market, and delivering on a quality hospitality experience for our members and anyone who walks through our doors.

You will work closely with the Community Lead based at the Kampala office while keeping in touch with the regional managers in Jinja, Gulu and Mbarara to support them in fulfilling their objectives for program delivery.

Key Result Areas

Community Memberships

Managing the onboarding process of members for Community. This includes;

● Support the updating of members databases with startups, entrepreneurs, cottage
industries, organizations, partners and investors.

● Assessing the members according to their stage of development and growth.

● Introducing new ways of tending to the community through organizing inclusive events

● Creating value for the members to keep them drawn in.

● Operationalize the membership strategy

As the point of contact for the community in Kampala, you would continuously keep in touch with the community members to understand their needs and identify programs that fit within their needs.

Collaborate with the M&E team to track Community members enrolled onto different programs that are being implemented across the regions.

Data Management

Develop new approaches, tools and techniques to support community data usage for business.

Ensure data management from primary and secondary sources of information. Analyze data from the business to strategically inform program development and decision making

Support in periodic; weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for the department. This entails aggregating reports from across the regions, analyzing the data and generating reports for funders and the business.

Using The Innovation Village Program Framework and Assessment matrix, support community managers with the process of enrolling members onto relevant programs

according to their needs.

Community Programs

Support community managers in the implementation of programs. This includes:

Coordination and promotion of each program, sending out calls for applications, reviewing applications, selecting participants, recruiting facilitators, coordinating necessary logistics for each program, tracking satellite locations’ events calendars

Assist in preparation of department budget indicators and preside over the execution of the approved budget and its revisions

Participate in the construction of a strong TIV brand equity, educating all internal stakeholders and assisting them with executing the brand on the ground

Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s corporate social Investment strategy as part of the brand equity building process in line with company strategy

Source relevant agencies/partners to support development and deployment of community’s value to its members.

About You

● Open-minded, collaborative team player and a quick study

● Have Stellar networking skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen

● Entrepreneurial DNA

● Experience in developing and implementing community programs, ideally in a startup environment

● Experience in the coordination of programs, project management experience is a plus

● Data management experience is a plus
