InformAction Field Coordinator – North & South Rift Region Jobs in Kenya; The Field Coordinator will coordinate the implementation of InformAction’s programmes within the North & South Rift Region. The role strengthens community engagement and partnerships, monitors the human rights and civic space environment, and ensures quality delivery of project activities in line with organizational priorities and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate community mobilization activities including dialogues, civic education, forums, and strengthening Community Action Teams (CATs).
Ensure meaningful participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups.
Implement regional programme activities, work plans, and budgets in compliance with donor requirements.
Monitor, document, and analyse human rights violations, civic space developments, governance trends, and election‑related issues.
Support peaceful elections and democratic governance initiatives through conflict‑sensitive programming.
Assist the Small Grants Manager with partner activities, capacity strengthening, monitoring visits, and data collection.
Coordinate logistical and operational arrangements for advocacy and civic engagement activities.
Liaise with county governments, commissions, partners, civil society, media, and community leaders.
Support safeguarding, security, and compliance during field activities.
Promote programme quality through RBM, monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability.
Oversee logistics, procurement, budget monitoring, asset management, and risk/security monitoring.
Document achievements, case studies, and lessons learned for advocacy and donor visibility.
Supervise and mentor regional staff, consultants, and volunteers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Community Engagement Lead.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Law, or related field.
Management experience is an added advantage.
Basic accounting skills.
Experience
Minimum five (5) years’ experience with a non‑profit organization.
Proven involvement in civic activism and public affairs.
Established community action networks.
Residency or strong connections within the community.
Proficiency in Swahili, English, and local languages (Nandi, Masai).
Knowledge of non‑profit, human rights, and governance sectors in Kenya.
Commitment to political activism and democratic governance.
