Infectious Disease Institute Regional Referral Medical Officer Jobs in Uganda

Job Summary:

To provide HIV/AIDS Clinical care services to clients and contribute to continuous professional development in line with Good clinical practices

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct clinical assessment and evaluation of health of clients and give proper patient centered care and treatment in line with Good clinical practices

Provide appropriate advice, health education and counselling to patients and their caregivers in line with Good clinical practices

Monitor the implementation of comprehensive HIV care package.

Conduct pharmacovigilance procedures and monitor disease progression while providing appropriate management

Develop patient management plans for HIV/TB Clients as per the client’s T.B status

Support Quality improvement activities and monitor the implementation of the QI projects in line with MoH guidelines.

Prepare and present periodic findings regarding clinical care audits and assessments, critical cases to promote continuous professional development

Qualifications and Job Specifications:

Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from a recognized institution

Active registration with Medical and Dental Practitioners’ Council

At least two years of experience in clinic or hospital-based services.

Training and experience in HIV/AIDS and ART management is essential.

Must be a team player in a dynamic work environment.
