For that reason, we are looking for a qualified Housekeeping Manager to join our team. The person selected must move his/her residence to Malindi with a permanent contract (after overcome the probationary period).

    Position Summary:

  • We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Manager who can set up the department from the scratch, able to lead and inspire the housekeeping team, and able to consistently execute excellent quality of service. The ideal Housekeeping Manager for this position will have an eye for detail and take great pride in providing impeccable service.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute, provide support and follow-up of the demands of the Direction.

  • Schedule, supervise and coordinate the tasks to be performed by each member of the team and coordinate
    their rest periods and vacations.

  • Check the quality of the service provided and adjust it to the needs and expectations set by the company.

  • Report and monitor breakdowns and repairs in rooms, common areas and staff areas, registering them in the system.

  • Keep control and record of Lost and Found Objects.

  • Monitoring of customer complaints and their resolution.

  • Include in the client’s database the wishes and special requests received during their stay with us.

  • Encourage teamwork and make each one responsible for their work, fostering a spirit of collaboration.

  • Participate in the coordination of the different acts that take place in the resort.

  • Place material orders in the department, based on the defined minimum stocks.

  • Perform monthly inventories.

  • Support if necessary and possible to other departments, such as reception or restaurant


  • At least 5 years of previous experience as Housekeeper Manager in 4 or 5 stars hotels.

  • Customer service orientation.

  • Orientation to the premium customer experience.

  • Extensive experience in managing work groups.

  • Time flexibility to work shifts in the morning, afternoon and/or in between, and work on weekends and holidays.

  • Clean and organized person.

  • Good presence and professionalism.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively.

  • Agility to quickly adapt to changes or anticipate them.

  • Great ability to work in a team and to manage them in times with a high volume of work.

  • Communication skills to act as a liaison between hotel management and staff.

  • Leadership capacity, high assertiveness and conflict resolution.

  • Punctuality, initiative and commitment.

    Education & Experience:

  • Higher/intermediate vocational training.

  • Housekeeper training course.

  • Handling Office Tools (Word, Excel, Email).

  • Necessary languages: English.

  • Other languages will be valued (Kiswahili, Italian, Spanish).
