Job Description

As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth functioning of hardware, software, and network systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's IT infrastructure.

Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and network devices.

Monitor system performance and promptly address any issues or failures.

Provide technical support to employees regarding software applications and systems.

Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications across the organization.

Collaborate with vendors for software licenses and support agreements.

Set up and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN) and wireless network.

Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and resolve them efficiently.

Implement and manage regular data backup procedures to prevent data loss.

Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Conduct routine maintenance on computers, printers, and other hardware components.

Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.

Assist employees with IT-related queries and issues.

Conduct training sessions to enhance employees' IT skills and awareness.

Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets and equipment.

Manage the procurement of IT hardware and software as needed

Develop and update IT policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, configurations, and processes.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2+ years relevant work experience.

Proven experience as an IT Officer or similar role is preferred.

Proficiency in

managing Windows and/or Linux operating systems.

Knowledge of networking protocols, firewall configurations, and VPN setup.

Familiarity with cloud computing services is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware problems effectively.

Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and vendors professionally.

Willingness to stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies.

Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
