IMPACT Initiatives Senior Analyst Jobs in Ghana;The role supports the second round of Acute Needs Analysis (ANA), a flagship analytical output summarizing available data to provide actionable understanding of risk of loss of life across geographies and populations. Outputs inform humanitarian prioritization, HPC processes, and donor allocations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and delivery of ANA at country level; align rollout with global schedules and standards.

  • Develop stakeholder mapping and maintain networks to enhance contextual monitoring.

  • Collect and synthesize secondary data from REACH, UN agencies, INGOs, and public datasets (OCHA, FEWS NET, IPC).

  • Evaluate data reliability; identify gaps; support decisions on targeted primary data collection.

  • Apply IMPACT’s global guidance to produce structured, consistent analysis using frameworks such as Risk of Excess Mortality.

  • Draft ANA briefs using standardized templates; incorporate maps, caseload tables, and visual aids.

  • Ensure internal review and validation; present findings to clusters, working groups, and donors.

  • Support development of Global Key Messages based on country findings.

  • Participate in lessons‑learned reviews; propose improvements to global processes.

  • Contribute to organizational learning and development of additional analytical workstreams.

  • Support internal knowledge sharing and training at country level.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all data collected and processes.

    Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking; ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent writing skills;
    experience producing concise briefs for external audiences.

  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with analytical tools (PowerBI, SPSS, R, STATA, Python).

  • Understanding of GIS processes and outputs an asset.

  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods; ability to evaluate data quality.

  • Knowledge of humanitarian coordination systems (HPC, inter‑agency needs analysis).

    Communication & Organizational Skills

  • Ability to manage complex workflows under tight deadlines.

  • Experience engaging with external stakeholders (clusters, donors, UN agencies).

  • Fluency in English required; additional languages required depending on duty station.

  • Strong interpersonal awareness, judgment, and emotional intelligence in high‑pressure contexts.

  • Cross‑cultural adaptability; ability to respond constructively to feedback and shifting priorities.
