Responsibilities


  • Consult with key stakeholders to assess and / or select Operational Excellence (OPEX) and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance of the regional Business Units in line with regional plans
  • Assess data related to each key indicator; identify gaps and weaknesses in collection, relevance or otherwise.
  • Support DCPRR to ensure that Operational
  • Excellence indicators and information is provided for all DREFs and Emergency Appeals.
  • Develop a data collection plan for OPEX and other KPIs. Establish the frequency at which the indicator will be measured and the person(s) responsible for collecting the data and entering it into the Dashboard. Different indicators may be collected on different time lines and data time periods should be denoted clearly on the Dashboard.
  • Develop a dashboard review plan, including action to respond to findings, selection of management and staff who will regularly review dashboard findings, frequency of these reviews and protocol to be followed to initiate any follow-up action required.
  • Provide monthly analysis reports on the dashboards on findings, data gaps with recommendations on how to improve performance
  • Propose and develop dashboards to provide the executive team with information to track performance of all business units on a periodic basis.
  • Establish a dissemination plan that determines who the users are and how the Dashboard will be shared with management and staff.
  • Provide seminars and explanatory sessions on performance-based management for staff and NS.
  • Provide tools, tips and guides to help managers use
    and adapt performance-based management tools.
  • Stay current on trends concerning performance-based management and advise the region on adaption and adoption of new tools and technology.
  • Identify and secure opportunities for National Societies to build capacity.
  • Support the sharing of findings and lessons learned to improve overall organizational learning.


    Qualifications


  • University degree in Statistics, International Development, M&E or equivalent.
  • Relevant post-graduate degree in Statistics, Planning, international development, M&E or equivalent is preferred.
  • Relevant professional training or relevant experience in statistics and relevant skills including either advanced excel, SPSS, Stata.

    Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in planning, monitoring and performance management.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in data collection, analysis and visualization including SPSS or STATA, Advanced Excel, Power BI, Mobile Data collection tools (eg Kobo, ODK etc).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in data analysis, visualization and presentation to different audiences.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in capacity development in M&E to diverse stakeholders.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in conducting and/or supervising needs assessments and surveys, data analysis.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in an international setting.
  • Experience working in the Africa Region.
  • People Management experience.
