IEBC Polling/Queuing /Counting Clerk Jobs in Kenya


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in laying out the polling station and counting room.

  • Demarcate and display posters at the polling station.

  • Control queues and guide voters to respective polling stations.

  • Confirm that a voter has not voted by inspecting fingers for indelible marks.

  • Identify voters before allowing them to vote.

  • Issue stamped ballot papers to duly identified voters.

  • Assist Presiding Officer with sorting of votes after voting as part of counting.

  • Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Presiding Officer.

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Kenyan citizen of high integrity and non‑partisan.

  • KCSE Aggregate C‑ and above.

  • Must be of good character.

  • Must be available for the entire period of the exercise.

  • Resident of the County Assembly Ward.
