IDinsight Information Security and Systems Lead, (Associate) Director Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking an Information Security and Enterprise Systems Leader to own IDinsight’s global systems and security mandate end‑to‑end, leading a capable team, advising the executive team, and driving enterprise systems and security strategy across 7+ countries.
Enterprise Systems Leadership
Define and own multi‑year enterprise systems strategy for a remote‑first organisation.
Lead identification, selection, and implementation of new systems (CRM, ERP).
Own architecture, integration decisions, and master data model.
Select and manage external implementation partners.
Lead annual budgeting and financial planning for systems.
Champion adoption and change management across regions.
Streamline usage, reduce shadow IT, and ensure reliable operations.
Partner with leadership on requirements and prioritisation.
Information Security Program Management
Define and own information security strategy aligned with frameworks.
Lead implementation of security and privacy controls.
Coordinate Information Security Steering Committee.
Own incident response planning and coordination.
Commission penetration tests, audits, and remediation.
Lead risk assessments and mitigation.
Serve as senior contact for funder, client, and government due diligence.
Support investigations requiring digital evidence.
Data Protection and AI Governance
Own compliance with GDPR and national data protection regimes.
Define governance for AI use on project and organisational data.
Maintain usable information security and data protection policies.
Team and Function Leadership
Manage, develop, and grow technology staff and fractional resources.
Build team depth and redundancy.
Contribute to cross‑functional leadership and responsible technology practice.
Qualifications
8+ years in technology roles; 5+ years in Information Security or Enterprise IT leadership.
Ownership of organisational‑scale security programme.
Experience leading ERP/CRM selection and implementation.
Hands‑on depth across enterprise security controls.
Strong command of identity and access management (SSO, MFA, LDAP, SAML).
Experience with
cloud security architecture.
Knowledge of GDPR and national data protection regimes in Africa/Asia.
Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST SP 800‑171, ISO/IEC 27001.
Experience administering enterprise systems for distributed teams.
Enterprise systems architecture and data modelling experience.
Preferred certifications: CISM, CISSP, CISA.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills.
Strong stakeholder management with funders, partners, vendors.
Experience managing change in remote‑first environments.
Detail‑oriented, execution‑focused, self‑starter.
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Experience working with diverse, cross‑cultural teams.
