IDinsight Associate & Senior Associate Jobs in Kenya; Associates and Senior Associates are high‑performing early‑career professionals passionate about evidence‑informed decision‑making.

These roles provide rich experience in research, analysis, data collection management, client interactions and team building.

You will work across time zones, manage competing deadlines, travel to remote sites and navigate real‑world implementation challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Manage project team workflow, systems and deliverables.

Conduct research design, data collection, technical analysis and results visualization.

Create client deliverables including reports, slide decks and presentations.

Develop strategic communications to build awareness of projects and learnings.

Support client relationship development and prepare talking points for meetings.

Lead data collection activities and ensure quality.

Travel to project sites, offices and embedded client locations.

Contribute to internal systems, team building and organizational culture.

Examples of Work Streams

Supporting African governments on evidence‑based decision‑making in education and economic growth.

Engaging with health organizations on measurement and learning across multiple countries.

Working on randomized evaluations of development interventions.

Supporting school‑level RCTs evaluating education interventions.

Participating in IDinsight’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion working groups.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Policy Research, Development Studies, Engineering, Environmental Science, Political Science, Public Policy or related field.

2–5 years’ relevant experience

in development, research, data analytics, consulting or program management.

Strong analytical skills with exposure to econometrics and research tools.

Strong writing skills for policy‑oriented deliverables.

Ability to learn quickly and invest in new concepts.

Highly organized and attentive to deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation.

Self‑starter, resilient and resourceful.

Intellectually curious and willing to challenge the status quo.

Passionate about combating poverty and improving lives.

Willingness to travel to remote and rural areas.

Preferred

Proficiency in Stata, SPSS, R, SurveyCTO or ODK.

Familiarity with local contexts and languages (Swahili or indigenous languages of Zambia).

Prior professional or internship experience in East or Southern Africa.
