IDinsight Associate Director/Director Jobs in Kenya

IDinsight Associate Director/Director Jobs in Kenya;The Associate Director / Director reports to the Regional Director and is supported by other Directors and IDinsight’s CEO.

The role drives major parts of IDinsight’s work and strategy in the region, supported by research teams, operations, and communications.

Directors are provided autonomy to leverage IDinsight as a platform to drive social impact, while being accountable for clear goals set in consultation with leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Lead High‑Impact Opportunities

  • Conceptualise, secure, fundraise for and execute initiatives using data and evidence to drive change.

    Lead, Mentor and Guide Project Teams

  • Liaise with senior clients, oversee research quality and ethics, mentor teams of 10–15 members, and ensure projects achieve social impact.

    Be a Thought Leader and Trusted Advisor

  • Shape evidence‑informed action, write for leading outlets, speak at conferences, and develop advisory roles with senior leaders.

    Contribute to IDinsight Strategy

  • Support Regional Director and leadership teams to craft and execute regional strategy.

    Support Organisational Development

  • Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and performance reviews.

  • Ensure IDinsight remains impact‑first, values‑based and nimble.

    Exemplify Mission and Values

  • Directors are the face of IDinsight internally and externally, expected to consistently exemplify mission and values.

    Qualifications

  • Deep passion for development and social impact.

  • Record of building strong stakeholder relationships with governments, foundations and non‑profits.

  • Impactful thought leadership and advocacy experience.

  • Fluency in data and evidence tools (evaluations, surveys, monitoring systems, machine learning).

  • Inspiring leadership in multicultural, values‑based environments.

  • Entrepreneurial attitude and adaptability.

  • Eagerness to learn with intellectual curiosity and humour.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.

  • Willingness to travel and work with remote colleagues.

  • 10+ years’ experience using data and evidence to improve social impact.

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in public policy, economics, public administration, international development, business or public health.

  • Excitement to work across multiple development sectors.
