Authority Profile

The Information and Communication Technology Authority (ICTA) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Information Communication and Technology.

The corporation was established in August 2013.

The Authority is tasked with rationalizing and streamlining the management of all Government of Kenya ICT functions.

Its broad mandate entails enforcing ICT standards in Government and enhancing the supervision of its electronic communication.

The Authority also promotes ICT literacy, capacity, innovation and enterprise in line with the Kenya National ICT Masterplan 2017.

The Board of ICT Authority now invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons with excellent academic credentials to fill the following positions to be deployed in regions, counties and at ICTA headquarters.

All positions are for a contract period of two years from the date of appointment.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

Verifying compiled statistical records for accuracy;

Processing of human resource statistics;

Preparing indents for advertisement of posts;

Preparing agenda for the Human Resource Advisory Committee;

Maintaining stores, records and equipment inventory;

Preparing estimates of expenditure for general office services;

Ensuring safe custody of invoices, receipts and other records; and

Ensuring proper maintenance of filing system

Job Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must: -

KCSE Certificate

Have a proficiency certificate for clerical officers.

Have a certificate in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Kenya Accounts Technician Certificate (KATC), Kenya Administration and Management Examination (KAME) or any other relevant and
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Be proficient in computer applications.

Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and

Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
