ICRC - Executive Assistant & Information Management Officer - Jobs in Kenya

The ICRC Regional Delegation in Nairobi is recruiting an experienced, highly motivated and qualified person to fill the position of:

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organisation with the exclusively humanitarian mission to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance.

It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening International Humanitarian Law and universal humanitarian principles.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Supports management by supervising tasks performed by the Administrative Assistant;
  • Organizes, supervises and manages the use of a range of collaborative tools and databases;
  • Plays the lead role in maintaining the delegation’s intranet page;
  • In collaboration with Information
  • Management Advisor contributes to implementing all information management projects or programs;
  • Develops procedures to govern the transfer of information between sites;
  • Trains the unit and sub-site(s) assistants and supervises them in the application of related procedures;
  • He supervises and trains new Information Management team members;
  • Makes sure that all staff know and apply
  • ICRC rules regarding correspondence and ICRC protocol.

    Minimum Requirements and Competencies
  • University degree or equivalent certification; Masters’ degree is an asset;
  • Minimum of five years’ experience providing executive support;
  • Experience coordinating or managing a team;
  • Experience in project management and follow up;
  • Excellent command of English;
  • Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint certification;
  • Enterprise Content Management certification will be an
    added advantage.
