Humanity & Inclusion Unlocking Opportunities Project Manager Jobs in Kenya; The Unlocking Opportunities project is a three‑year initiative advancing inclusive economic empowerment for youth with disabilities, with a strong focus on young women. Through personalised support and systemic inclusion, the program equips youth with skills, resources, and opportunities to engage meaningfully in the economy as entrepreneurs and employees. Reporting to the Consortium Coordinator, the Project Manager leads Humanity & Inclusion (HI) activities, ensuring high‑quality execution, compliance, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Mission 1: Management

  • Embody HI’s values and act as a role model.

  • Translate strategy into operational objectives and lead necessary changes.

  • Organise operational management, structure work, and steer performance.

  • Develop staff capacity, ensure compliance with HI’s code of conduct and institutional policies.

    Mission 2: Strategy & Steering

  • Contribute to programme and country operational strategies.

  • Draft new project proposals for continuity or expansion.

  • Support proposal development in areas of expertise.

    Mission 3: Operations Implementation

  • Execute project according to logical framework and budget.

  • Ensure activities align with proposal, budget, and donor requirements.

  • Manage project reporting internally and
    externally.

  • Monitor compliance with HI policies, donor rules, and technical standards.

  • Deliver systematic monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning.

  • Oversee secure project data management and ensure accuracy.

  • Coordinate teams and facilitate project steering committee.

  • Contribute to external communication with partners and stakeholders.

    Mission 4: Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Lead emergency preparedness actions.

  • Reorganise priorities during emergencies to ensure rapid response.

    Qualifications

    Educational Background & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Social Science, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 4 years’ project management experience.

  • 3–5 years’ experience managing socio‑economic empowerment, market‑based development, or entrepreneurship programs.

    Skills Required

  • Strong management and coaching skills.

  • Conflict management and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Project planning, coordination, and monitoring expertise.

  • Program evaluation and strategy development.

  • Proposal and narrative report writing.

  • Emergency response and humanitarian monitoring.
