Human Capital Outsourcing Limited Kitchen Receipt Handler / Food Dispatcher Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a Kitchen Receipt Handler / Food Dispatcher to ensure strict control of food orders leaving the kitchen, verify receipts, and maintain compliance with hotel procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and review all food receipts/orders presented to the kitchen

  • Confirm receipts are genuine, valid, and properly authorized through the approved system

  • Verify items and quantities ordered before food is released

  • Ensure kitchen staff prepare food only against valid orders

  • Confirm modifications, cancellations, or special requests have proper authorization

  • Act as the final control point before food leaves the kitchen

  • Dispatch food strictly according to the receipt/order

  • Verify correct food items and quantities before issuing

  • Ensure no unauthorized or undocumented food leaves the kitchen

  • Match completed food orders against receipts before handover

  • Track and follow up partially fulfilled orders

  • Report suspicious transactions, shortages, wastage, or irregular requests to supervisor

  • Prevent food release based on verbal requests without documentation

  • Maintain clear communication with cashier, kitchen team, waiters, and supervisors

  • Resolve discrepancies between receipts and food requested before dispatch

  • Escalate unresolved discrepancies to supervisor or management

  • Maintain custody and organization of kitchen receipts/orders

  • Ensure receipts are not lost, altered, duplicated, or removed from control process

  • Maintain records of dispatched, pending, cancelled, and returned
    orders

  • Account for all receipts received during the shift

  • Ensure cancelled or returned food orders are handled per hotel procedure

  • Confirm correct food item, quantity, completeness, presentation, and special instructions before dispatch

    Skills & Requirements

  • KCSE or equivalent qualification

  • Certificate/Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Catering, Business, or related field (advantageous)

  • Previous experience in hotel, restaurant, kitchen, food service, or dispatch environment

  • Experience handling POS receipts/orders (advantageous)

  • Basic numerical and record‑keeping skills

  • Good communication and coordination skills

  • Firm, assertive, and disciplined personality

  • Sober, level‑headed, and not easily swayed or intimidated

  • Willingness to say NO when procedures are bypassed

  • Ability to challenge colleagues respectfully but firmly

  • Highly observant and alert to irregularities
