Key Responsibilities
Branch Leadership & Operations
Provide overall leadership and management of branch operations.
Act as the link between branch staff and executive management.
Safeguard branch assets and oversee branch security measures.
Coordinate branch audits and implement corrective actions.
Business Growth & Credit Management
Drive sustainable growth of the branch loan portfolio through business development and market penetration.
Develop and implement branch growth strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Oversee sales and marketing activities to attract and retain quality customers.
Set branch sales targets and monitor performance.
Ensure quality credit appraisal and approval processes.
Manage portfolio quality and minimize non‑performing loans.
Chair branch credit committee meetings and ensure sound lending decisions.
Customer Service
Maintain high standards of customer service and customer experience.
Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and service issues.
Staff Management & Development
Lead staff recruitment, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and development.
Foster a high‑performance culture through mentorship, training, and continuous learning.
Manage branch leave planning, staff transitions, and portfolio handovers.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit operational, financial, and performance reports.
Promote a safe, clean, and productive working environment.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements for Appointment
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Banking, or related field.
Professional qualifications in
Credit Management, CPA, AKIB, or related certifications are an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 3 years in a senior credit, branch management, or operations role within an MFI, Microcredit Company, SACCO, or Financial Institution.
Proven track record in loan book growth, portfolio management, and branch leadership.
