HRMPEB Senior Planning & Strategy Officer Jobs in Kenya

Job Purpose

Planning Officers are responsible for developing, ensuring implementation of Board strategies, policies, programs and projects. The Planning Officers will also ensure effective Monitoring and Evaluation to enable achievement of Board functions.

Job Specifications:

The main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

Ensuring that HRMPEB ‘s strategy remains fit for purpose by helping to conduct the annual strategy review;

Coordinating the review of the Strategic Plan;
Writing Reports and recommendations on implementing the Board’s strategic plan;

Providing project management support to HRMPEB corporate planning process, and provide ongoing advice and support to help teams develop credible plans to effectively implement the strategy;

Evaluating and consolidating reports prepared at lower levels

Coordinating monitoring and evaluation of Board activities to ensure harmonization and effectiveness.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

Served in the grade of a Planning & Strategy Officer for a minimum period of four (4) years or in a comparable and relevant position in the

Public Service or Private Sector for a minimum period of six (6) years;

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Membership to a relevant professional body of good standing;

Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;

Proficiency in computer applications skills;

Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;

Demonstrated merit in work performance.
