Hotel Chef Jobs in Naivasha, Kenya

An upcoming hotel based in Naivasha, seeks to hire a highly competent, self-driven and result oriented Chef.

Responsibilities

Oversee restaurant’s kitchen by supervising the Kitchen team, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes, experimenting with recipes and suggesting new ingredients.

Manage inventory of stock and requisition of raw materials.

Ensure food safety best practices, compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.

Control budgets and minimize wastage, monitor cost and provide recommendations and guidance.

Requirements

Certificate from a recognised culinary institution. A Diploma or degree is an added advantage.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in star rated institution

Training in culinary arts, creative flair, strong communication, organisation, teamwork and leadership skills

Excellent supervisory experience and knowledge in kitchen operation including management of people, handling complex problems, food and beverage management.
