  • Our Client, a market leader in Hospitality Industry is urgently seeking to recruit top-performing, versatile and enthusiastic Operations Manager.

  • The position will responsible for maximizing the performance of Store Managers and Store Teams, ensuring delivery of area business plans, supporting the overall company mission, and achieving profitability through strong and effective leadership to maintain high quality service, standards and food delivery by performing the following duties;

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Operational Delivery

  • Embed the company and brand vision across operational area.

  • Drive first class hospitality service standards across the area ensuring full delivery of area business plan supporting overall business strategy.

  • Undertake and report on area trends and ensure that all key event launch initiatives are fully embedded within area.

  • To monitor and manage performance objectives that both stretch and challenge direct reports, maximizing commercial potential.

  • Effectively deliver all relevant company communications out to all store teams.

  • Within area to manage, drive, monitor and respond to audits delivering full compliance, risk management and overall ensure that best practice within operations is fully delivered.

  • Deliver against any allocated projects, new openings and transformations at a local level, mapping and allocating local resources appropriately and ensuring that all are launched to company standards and are delivered on time.

  • Ensuring that all stores within the area are appropriately covered during identified peak shifts by qualified members of the store management teams and as post holder lead by example and be active within the area during these core times.

  • Ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience and recommends us to friends and family.

  • Ensure that our customers remain at the heart of everything we do and that we incorporate information from customer feedback within the market.

  • Support teams in delivering and maintaining food safety standards and continuous delivery of high quality food.

    Commercial

  • Maximize the commercial potential of the area through the delivery of best practices.

  • Successfully manage area P&L and turnover ensuring full delivery of the bottom line.

  • Communicate to Store Management and Store Teams on business performance (KPI’s), new initiatives and commercial development opportunities.

  • Deliver consistent exceptional audit results building an “audit ready” culture.

    Leadership

  • Provide inspirational leadership to all teams, drive recognition programs, celebrate success and personal development.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across stakeholder group aligned to company’s values and principles.

  • Maximize internal and external relationships, influencing and gaining commitment to the company agenda.

  • Recruit, develop and retain top talent that ensures competitive advantage within the hospitality industry.

  • Develop and drive succession plans for the area that ensure a high quality talent pipeline.

  • Effectively manage poor performance that minimizes risk.

  • To perform any other duties as required by management

    Key Competencies &
    Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Food and Beverage Management from a recognized institution

  • Must have at least 15 years of Hospitality experience, with 5 years’ multi-site operational experience

  • Previous branded QSR or Casual Dining experience in Kenya is a must

  • P&L management and accountability is a must

    Communication Skills

  • Good business acumen with a pragmatic common sense approach

  • Expresses self clearly in business writing to effectively reach the audience.

  • Ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines. Carefully manages several projects at once, focusing on timelines and the end result.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ensures that work is complete and carefully reviews the accuracy of information in their work.

    People Management Skills

  • Supervise, educate, train/develop, encourage and motivate the store teams.

  • Participates in interviewing and training of employees, planning, assigning and directing work – and appraising performance.
