Hope Restoration for South Sudan is a National Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) registered with ministry of Justice in 2010 (Registration no. 659).


The organization is also registered with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) registration number 138.

All the registrations are current and valid. Hope restoration is a humanitarian, non-profit making organization and not affiliated to any political or religious body.

The organization has its headquarters in Juba and operates offices in all states where current projects are being implemented.

Hope Restoration received a grant from UNHCR and is currently implementing Protection and Assistance for Affected Population including Persons with Specific Needs in Leer and Mayendit, Unity State.

In order to strengthen SGBV Response, Hope Restoration would wish to recruit competent, qualified SOUTH SUDANESE FEMALE NATIONAL as a consultant for a period of 3 Months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psycho-social counseling to SGBV survivors focused on the survivor centered case management approach.
  • Provide assessment and counseling both at individual and group level as the situation demands.
  • Ensure all work with SGBV survivors is confidential and that ethical practices are observed.
  • Document client data accurately in the intake forms and ensure they are under lock and key.
  • Ensure that the GBVIMS is accurately updated on a regular basis.
  • Participate in the interpretation of the analyzed data on trends and work with GBV Team Leader to disseminate information to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development of the case management monitoring tools and systems and ensure that
    all staffs that are required to utilize it are trained on the correct way of handling the systems.
  • Participate in the preparation of accurate reports for all Psycho-social related activities.

    Knowledge, skills, abilities:

  • Attention to detail, and strong planning and organizational skills are necessary;
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills is essential; ability to speak local language is an asset
  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Strong knowledge of psychosocial and mental health issues.

    Education:

  • Diploma in Counseling with hands-on experience either from a refugee and /or IDP set up .Bachelor degree in counseling psychology and/ Master’s Degree in Counselling/ Clinical Psychology is an added advantage

    Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the field of psychosocial and mental health work in local and / or international organizations;
  • Extensive network with Practioners and institutions in the field;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to understand and develop programmatic strategies on psychosocial support for organizations.
  • Ability to speak local/ host community language will be added advantage
