Role Responsibilities

The consultant is to undertake the following tasks:

  • Discuss with HfJ Senior Management on the needs and concerns to revise the Human Resources Management (HRM) and Development (HRD) policies and practices, in line with the vision of Hope for Justice.

  • To review the current HfJ policies, forms, templates and procedures of HRM and HRD, and draft the revised Personnel Manual accordingly.

  • To assess international and national labour laws and standards and their relation and inclusion with the HfJ Personnel Manual as well as employee hand books

  • To assess international and national accepted Child right conventions and their relation and inclusion with the HfJ Personnel Manual.

  • To assess and revise Role descriptions

  • To review and revise the Performance Appraisal Review system to include
    self-evaluations,

  • KPI measurement against annual work plans, and behavioural competencies measurement using 360 Degree assessment

  • Assist the HR team in the analysis of the inputs and requirements from the HfJ offices.

  • To train and coach HR team on making the new Manual and its forms, templates and procedures fully functional and operational.

  • To give basic TOT training to the management

  • To design and implement Electronic attendance and payroll system

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Law (with a specialist in Labour Law and compliance, Business Administration

    Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in Human Resources Management/and/or Development

    Essential Skills

  • Strong analytical skills, including legal analysis

  • Experience in residential care that works with Vulnerable children

  • Experience with local and international Child right policies, proclamations, and conventions

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English

  • Has to be Licensed and vat registered consultant
