Holy Cross Catholic International Secondary School Teacher - Biology/Chemistry Jobs in Kenya; The main purpose of the role is to teach and educate students in line with the pedagogy of the Cambridge International Curriculum, under the overall guidance of the subject Head of Department, School Principal, and the school authority, according to the values and ethos of the Catholic Church.

To teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities, and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care by the School Principal or school authority.

Responsibilities

Teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities, and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care.

Deliver exceptional, real‑world, enquiry‑based Biology and Chemistry lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum.

Contribute to and share responsibility for the realization of the vision and philosophy of the school.

Demonstrate and promote the positive values, attitudes, and behaviors expected from all members of staff.

Work within the school’s policies and framework relating to teachers’ responsibilities.

Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, developmentally appropriate, and

organized.

Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons to excite and engage students.

Be accountable for students’ mastery of content and academic standards.

Maintain positive, constructive, and professional relationships with students, their families, and colleagues.

Required Skills/Characteristics

TSC certification and a relevant degree in Education.

At least 2 years’ teaching experience.

Must be a practising Catholic who embraces the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Flexible and open to change — able to handle uncertainty and complexity well.
