Hollywoodbets General Assistant Jobs in South Africa;The General Assistant will support kitchen operations through basic food preparation, assisting chefs with plating and presentation, and ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained. The role also involves kitchen stock management and maintaining hygiene in line with Hollywoodbets standards.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service

  • Assist chefs with food preparation and presentation.

  • Ensure all orders are prepared and served timeously.

  • Maintain food presentation standards in line with Hollywoodbets requirements.

    Stock & Inventory Management

  • Conduct kitchen stock counts and ensure proper storage.

  • Rotate stock and dispose of expired items.

  • Report low stock items to the Chef.

  • Record wastages and breakages during shifts.

    Housekeeping & Hygiene

  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, and work surfaces.

  • Maintain neatness of kitchen, appliances, fridges, freezers, and work areas.

  • Ensure kitchen and cooking areas are tidy before the next shift.

  • Monitor kitchen cleanliness continuously.

    Customer Service & Support

  • Ensure exceptional customer service through timely food preparation.

  • Assist with receiving stock and reporting operational issues.

  • Support ad‑hoc duties as required.

    Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Experience in stock management.

  • Matric preferred.

  • Experience in F&B industry an advantage.

    Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of food preparation and hygiene standards.

  • Stock management and reporting skills.

  • Attention to detail and accountability.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
